Another Summer | Styling at the Another Country Showroom

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Another Country showroom in Marylebone, to try my hand at styling as part of their #AnotherSummer series. As a total novice (my styling experience goes about as far as reordering the books on our shelves) I didn't really know what to expect or how the photos would turn out. Whether it was the materials we had available, the skills of my lovely partner Cate, or just the benefit of beginners' luck, I think they actually look pretty great!

First of all we were let loose on the streets of London to choose our food items for the shoot. Having agreed on a sweet theme (mainly so we could eat the props afterwards) we headed to a great little shop called La Pâtisserie des Rêves, where we picked up a couple of fruit tarts and the tastiest (and priciest!) marshmallows I've ever come across. Adding to that some fruit, flowers and a box of icing sugar, we headed back to Another Country and were let loose in the showroom.

Their collection is right up my street, mostly made up of simple designs with smooth, clean lines. The main materials are light woods, ceramics and linens. Our favourite pieces were the Stool One and the ceramic Creamer jug, both of which got a lot of use!

Big thanks to Another Country, Kate & Daniel of October and Cate (whose post you can see here) for a great morning.

Here are some of the products we used in the shoot. Hover over the image to see their names or view them on the Another Country website.
