The Stropp Storage Hook

This unusual storage idea is the work of by Lassen, a design brand stemming from the work of the great Danish architects Mogens and Flemming Lassen. As well as owning the rights to the brothers' creations, by Lassen regularly designs and launches new products in keeping with the original Lassen style. The company is partially owned by two of Mogens' ancestors - his grandson Søren Lassen and great-granddaughter Nadia Lassen. You can read more about the brand's interesting story here.

The Stropp leather strap is one of their new designs for 2015. It is available in four colours and costs €55 (better start saving up now if you want more than one!). They're primarily designed for the kitchen or hallway, as storage for tea towels or outdoor accessories, but you could put them pretty much anywhere you want.

I quite like the idea of using a cluster of them by the door. You could slip scarves and umbrellas through the gaps, and hang canvas bags from the metal button on the front. The stylist has used a coat hanger in the image above to turn one of them into storage for jackets etc. - also a cool idea! I'd have to get some special hangers (something like these brass ones or these copper ones) to avoid spoiling the effect with the ugly plastic ones hanging in my wardrobe.
